Evidence checklist

Keep these ready.

  • Invoice, estimate or delivery challan
  • Hallmark/HUID certificate or assay report
  • Written communication (WhatsApp, email, letters)
  • Payment proof, cheque return memo or bank statement

Missing a document does not stop you filing — the desk will tell you what else is needed.

Escalation

Where a case goes if mediation fails.

The Council does not replace the law. When a matter needs a statutory authority, we escalate with the full case file attached so you are not starting again from zero.

BIS

Hallmarking, HUID and assay centre matters.

GST & tax authorities

Invoice, job-work and audit disputes.

Consumer commission

Unresolved consumer claims against a member.

Police / EOW

Fraud, theft and criminal breach of trust.
